Lifetime

This table shows the lifetime of the products notation composer, musician, player per version. We maintain versions for many years far longer than other companies in our business segment. The end of life is grouped in two categories:

• end of software maintenance
• end of downloads, license transfers to other PCs and help support

When the end of life of a product version is reached for both categories the product's lifetime simply ends. A license can still run on the PC where the software was installed, and can be re-installed on this PC with the automated installation backup (see QuickStart Guide), provided that the operating system supports the licensed software version. But no downloads, no transfers to others PCs, no purchases of this version, no support nor service of any kind from Notation Software is provided.
However, questions about features can still be raised in the forum where other customers may respond.

What version do you own?

That's easy to find out. Run notation composer or notation musician, and choose the About command in the Help menu. It will display your current version number.
